Results of BUSINESSMonitor 2009
Companies want to keep in contact with their municipal authorities - Results from the BUSINESSMonitor 2009
When companies and commercial enterprises are asked about what they would like from their municipal authorities, top of the list are active contact with these authorities and more and better information on industrial development programmes. Companies that are able to communicate with personal contacts at the municipal authority and industrial development authority will actively recommend these to other enterprises provided they consider these contacts competent and are satisfied with the provided information on industrial development. The results from 2009 BUSINESSMonitor, the municipal dialogue and early warning system that L·Q·M has conducted with the support of German Association of Towns and Municipalities (DStGB) since 2006 show that this is the case. Individual plans of actions can be derived from results of the BUSINESSMonitor, with which the municipal authorities can effectively increase the loyalty of companies to the location.
In 2010, the BUSINESSMonitor again provides the participating municipal authorities with specific stratagems for contributing easily but nevertheless effectively to enhancing and safeguarding their town and district as a business location. L·Q·M, which is headquartered in Mainz, is conducting this project as consulting and market research partner of the German Association of Towns and Municipalities.
